Bio
Ray grew up in Maine as an average Joe with a name that means Kingly. His parents prayed that he would become a firebrand in the hands of God. Now he sears HIS imprint in everything he does. By nature Ray is an evoker. He loves to ask the questions that cause you to really think especially the ones around connecting his listener with God's Kingdom.
Ray is married to his 7th grade sweetheart Tracey and they have three children. Two girls ('women' he says) and one boy, who happens to be a mini-Ray. They live in a modest cathedral cottage cape on 10 acres of land in rural Maine. They love to hang as a family and they have chickens and pups galore. They also enjoy hosting people in their home and pray that everyone who enters their doorposts will feel that it is a healing place.
Ray’s music is written from the perspective of living in an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit. He loves to digest, meditate and journal on the Scriptures. His songs emanate with passion and his lyrics will evoke your soul. Ray is a Spirit-led artist who has acoustic driven rhythms layered with catchy lyrics that stick to your thoughts.
Ray is also a Pastor of a portion of God’s Kingdom called www.clfcne.com. He enjoys intentionally apprenticing artists in living out a deep-rooted and flourishing life that Christ provided at the cross. Oh and by the way, he says “We are all artists. The Creator created us that way. We are His masterpieces set on display to show HIS Glory.”
A few of his songs have become his churches favorite worship songs like ‘Amazing God‘ which is the mp3 that can be found on this site. Also look for a FREE download of the chord chart for this very same song. Some of his favorite Worship artists are Chris Tomlin, Aaron Shust, Shawn McDonald, CircleSlide, and John Waller.
Ray tells us that “God is in the details” that “The church of God is experiencing HIM in powerful ways”. He goes on to paraphrase Scriptures by saying that “We have been set free. We are no longer incarcerated. We can stand in His authority. We can live passionately."
